Japan of the Dead is now available at Amazon. It will be FREE this weekend only. If you happen to pick this Betamax novelization up for free, please give it a read and take some time out to review it on Amazon. Japan of the Dead is the first title in our ¥100 Digi-Trash line of one-shot stories. Inspired by 80's b-movies, grindhouse fare, and the fact that you can get away with publishing cool shit these days, ¥100 Digi-Trash titles seek to go all out in the Grind Pulp department. Let us know what you think about Japan of the Dead!

Grind Pulp Press News

Grind Pulp Press

Inspired by the fun stories you can only find in the e-book world we present the ¥100 Digi-Trash series of digital pulp books.

From the desk of Andrew Crevier:

About a year ago I found myself struggling through an author's e-book (I won't say the author's name here, but you might hear it on a drunken podcast or in conversation). I picked it up because it was free, because it was a short zombie story, and because I already had an idea of what I was getting myself into. The thing was written so bad that it was a struggle to figure out what was going on. It was like a puzzle box. And that was what made me want to release it, or at least something that was almost as raw and three times as crazy. It made me wonder if there could be an audience for this type of story in the same way there is an audience for wild b-movies.

These sentiments, VHS videos, and shock cinema are what the ¥100 Digi-Trash collection of e-books is all about. Fast and furious short stories worth every yen spent. Our first title in this series will be Japan of the Dead by Thurman Gallows.

Cover art for each title will capture the feel of what you could expect from something called ¥100 Digi-Trash.

Periodical Cover Mockup

Grind Pulp Press is in the very early stages of putting together a quarterly or biannual mag of raucous, roller-coaster ride, funhouse tales that are, at their core, fun to read. We're not yet open to submissions, but we'll be looking for mixed genre fiction in the horror, sword and sorcery, dark sci-fi, and dramedy realms. Over-the-top bizarro may be considered on a limited basis, but we'll be seeking works that are coherent from beginning to end. The name says it all, Grind Pulp. If you feel you have a Grind Pulp story in you, keep your eyes peeled.
